Myriam Haddad

Myriam is the leader of Amaka Consulting's office in the US East Coast office as well as our Risk & Resilience Practice in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and a member of the Financial Services Practice. He is an accomplished academic and expert financial economist.

The focus of Myriam's work is on risk management and regulations, and she specializes in capability building. Her past work includes developing and rolling out transformation and modernization programs for a variety of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) financial institutions, upgrading monetary policy and financial stability management capabilities for a number of EU and MENA central banks, and harmonizing the design of banking supervisory regulations and regimes across the GCC.

Myriam's passion for finance and international economics began in academia; before he came to the world of consulting, he held posts at both the University of Manchester and the American University of Beirut.

A native of Lebanon, Mazen is a fluent speaker of Arabic, English, and French. He holds a doctorate in financial economics and remains an active academic in his field.
